COURSE DESCRIPTION

The AWS Cloud Solutions course spans twelve weeks, providing a comprehensive study of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its suite of cloud computing tools and services. Students will begin by setting up their AWS environments and getting acquainted with the core concepts of cloud computing and AWS infrastructure.

The course starts with an introduction to AWS, covering foundational services such as EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud), S3 (Simple Storage Service), and IAM (Identity and Access Management). Students will learn how to deploy and manage virtual servers, store and retrieve data, and manage user permissions and security.

As the course progresses, students will delve into advanced AWS services, including RDS (Relational Database Service), Lambda, and CloudFormation. They will learn how to set up and manage managed databases, implement serverless computing, and use infrastructure-as-code to automate and manage cloud resources efficiently.

In the following weeks, students will explore AWS networking and security, including VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), security groups, and network ACLs. They will understand how to design secure and scalable network architectures and implement best practices for protecting cloud resources and data.

Midway through the course, students will focus on monitoring and optimization strategies using AWS CloudWatch, AWS Trusted Advisor, and cost management tools. They will learn to monitor resource usage, optimize performance, and manage cloud costs effectively.

Towards the end, the course covers advanced topics such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk for application deployment, AWS Route 53 for DNS management, and AWS S3 for data archiving and backup. Students will gain practical experience in deploying and managing applications and implementing high-availability solutions.

The course concludes with a project where students design, implement, and manage a comprehensive cloud infrastructure solution using AWS. This hands-on project will integrate all the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the course, demonstrating their ability to create and manage scalable and secure cloud environments.
