On Thursday, September 15, Hazza Institute of Technology attended an orientation session about Skill Verification Program (SVP) for the Pakistani skilled workforce, organized by the Ministry of Human Resource & Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) & NAVTTC.
More than 100 Overseas Employment Promotors OEPs attended the orientation session of SVP.
Mr. Gohar Afzal PMO (Program Manager at Takamol) gave a detailed introduction of the initiatives taken by Takamol for Pakistan’s skilled workforce. Mr. Hafeez Abbasi (Director General Planning, Monitoring & Accreditation, NAVTTC) also briefed the OEPs about the launch of SVP from 19th Sep, 2022 by making it mandatory
for five trades i.e. Electrician, Plumbing, Welding, HVAC & Auto Electrician. He further guided the OEPs about the implementation & execution of SVP.
Mr. Maalik Hamdan was also present during the session as a representative of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & answered the queries of stakeholders about execution of SVP.
Mr. Azhar Sindhu (Managing Director, Hazza Institute of Technology) endorsed the importance of SVP testing, and role of assessment center to ensure that candidate is right fit for the job.
Mr. Rehmat Ali Shah, Chairman Overseas Employment Promotors also shared his views with the participants.
During a Q/A session, OEPs also shared their suggestions & concerns to improve the effectiveness of the portal & SVP.
At the end of the session, concerns of OEPs were addressed by ED,NAVTTC & he assured that their apprehensions will be forwarded to the concerned departments.
